The talented artist „Smoke Sykes“ puts his abilities to the test and demonstrates he’s a sly old dog. His brute sound framework meets that special deepness – what an interplay.

Two solid tracks “Heavy Weight” and “Bacdafucup” – groovy, drifting and wholeheartedly to the point – are doing the Honneurs.

“ Heavy Weight ”, the gem of this EP, speaks for itself: deeply blurred sounds accompanied by a strong bass part are interplaying with each other and make up the ultimate prime time track. Just marvellous.

Eveline Fink meanwhile insists on developing her own hymn to “Heavy Weight” without upstaging the original. A powerful kick in coalition with her pressuring bass are giving this remix a certain dub charm. These dubby chord elements and the sound design in general are evidence for Eveline’s passion. Fantastic.

“Bacdafucup” is a track of the special kind. Technoid, but skilfully staged. Here the name of the game is go for the broke and lose nothing! Vocal phrases are spreading over the percussive sound dress to give this track that certain something. An EP almost mystical but undeniably splendid.
